351/2 Engine Shifter/Throttle

2 month owner of a 1999 352- love the boat but hate the telephone pole in the cockpit they call the Gearshift/Throttle- someone's always bumping into it and causing mayhem.

I saw an ad for a 352 (photo attached) where they replaced the giant knob with a much nicer, streamlined model.

Anyone have any experience with this conversion? Love to know the make and model of the one in the photo and what's involved with installation...

The one in the picture shown is larger than the one that comes with the boat. Never had an issue with it.

Joker- it's not the size (though I think the one in my photo is a lot smaller than stock), it's the angle. The original protrudes to starboard, this one angles over the instrument pod.
Of course, it's possible the problem is that my butt is a lot bigger than yours
