34 v-berth improvement

This was not my idea, and perhaps it was standard on later boats but after struggling for a half hour hanging upside down through the v-berth storage box hole to remove an old depth sounder, I cut out the step and made a removable cover for better access.

good idea. my speed transducer is under there but my depth transducer is next to the keel. I don't use the speed any more and am thinking of removing it and patching up the hole for one less hole in the boat. GPS speed is good enough for me.

The 35 has this hatch installed. I thought it was factory. I have not felt a need to repair my speed transducer either. GPS works just as well.

This is NOT installed on my 1987 O'day 35 (hull built in June of '86). I love the idea!
