Hunter 33 Cherubini Low Profile Shoal keel Hamilton
Hi all,
Newby here, just bought an old (1977) 33' here in Ontario, with shoal keel and lower profile cabin top. My question is 'are these rare?' I cannot see much information regarding them or boats for sale anywhere.
Also the mainsail bears the number 'R33' - is this likely to be purely coincidence to the Raider 33?
Any info appreciated
Steve

Hunter 33 (Cherubini design Forked River, Barnegat Bay, NJ
Early H33 and Raider were designed by the same guys in the same time frame. To my eye the lead keep was the same shoal h33 to Raider. The Raider used it on a longer stub. More weight lower ad opposed 5th the deep keel on the standard h33. An example of the guys at Cherubini in NJ using Hunter's buting power. Seidelman too during that period. Many parts, are the same. Ports, toe rails , mast sections. Doesnt surprise me that the main from a Raider 33 fits an early H33. I can tell you that down wind in moderate air the Raider is slightly faster than the H33.
