Looking for input about how this boat would sail on Lake Champlain, VT, where the prevailing winds require mostly tacking and very little downwind. Currently sailing a Catalina 25 and want to move up to something with same kind of performance but 6' headroom (my husband is 6'3") and in board diesel. My husband wants 6-7knot speed like our Catalina. The Watkins looks like a great boat but don't know if it will give him the performance he likes? Does anyone have experience sailing one in conditions similar to ours on a lake? Thanks!
