I forget what acid we used, but we had a small plastic pump circulating the acid solution in a tray . The last piece of tubing was copper which was connected to the DC power supply. We found that we didn't have current density and therefore went for a portable solution and held the end of the copper tube very close to the work. a plastic tip is suggested to reduce the possibility of shorting the power supply. It was very slow and acid disposal is an issue.
