Have any other parents of millennials experienced the irony of the claims that this gen. is locked into their phones and social media?
There is no doubt that the millennials grew up in today's high tech orbit and many fit the cynical stereotype. But I see this generation, through my children and countless friends, choosing their media and social connections more conservatively than their parents today.
Many have abandoned social media like Facebook for more streamlined communication and connection. Fast tech. They seem to have evolved a different orbit in social media and life in general, that is safer and more private.
They are chased by new platforms but hard to pin down.
We shouldn't be surprised, baby boomers were a 'rebellious' generation and unpredictable, much to the previous generations chagrin.
Once you think you have this generation figured out, they're gone.
