What do you use for cup holders while sitting and enjoying drinks in the cockpit? Amazon has a few options, and this particular one caught our eye. It would clip on to the pushpit.

These are other options, but not practical while underway:

Does anyone have a unique solution, or something that works well for them?

Honestly, most of those are impractical, or will break if touched, or hurt if you fall against them. I would just put on some good sheet bags with elastic tops. Like these Blue Perfomance bags. Will hold anything. Lines, winch handles, beers. You name it it’s the way to go.

Thanks, @Jackdaw ! An honest, experienced answer! I like what you suggested, and will add that to consideration. I can pick one up at my local West Marine store, so that's a bonus.

I also agree that the last 2 options that I mentioned above are goofy, but I wanted to include them to show the vast array of what was available, albeit totally impractical.

I really liked the winch mounted option. That way, you can have your vodka martini stirred, not shaken.
Another, better option is to get @Slartibartfass to make his special Neverspill gimballed version for you

At about $110 in materials plus labor, I'm sure everyone will want one. I do. It does double duty as a propane camp stove and coffee maker. It's pretty awesome. If you haven't been following his thread for building the prototype, here it is https://forums.sailboatowners.com/i...tove-holder-for-my-cp-22.191777/#post-1463441
It has been amazing following along.

Ahh ... the Holy Grail.

I've tried a lot of things, but the closest thing I have found to a solution is el cheapo plastic ones from Auto Zone, zip tied to the stern rail.

I've been eyeballing these. Spendy, but my birthday is coming up:

We have a couple of those. Came with the boat. Nice as long as your drink container doesn't fall thru. Forget wine glasses. Perfect for beer cans.

those winch wenches are ok at dockside or anchor, cheep too...otherwise useless...
and generally we don't indulge much underway (actually self-prohibit it in some conditions, after seeing some alcohol induced stupids, including a MOB whilst docking on another boat), but we do catch up and get after it pretty good once tied up!

Jacktar's got the best solution w/the bags imo for underway.

Gene, a slipmate has a couple of those Snap-its on his bimini and swears by 'em...

I bought one of these at West Marine for a half a 10th of a boat buck. I do like them but sheesh. And one constant about your boat is, you cant have ENOUGH cup holders. So I went and bought an 8 dollar cutting board. Made a template, and bought some stainless screws from Ace. Bout oh.. say three hours later on the table and scroll saw, little sanding, and TADAH! Wifey and I had two of these for maybe 10 bucks. Plus our labor.
