to get to the hoses...wow. So, I am sealing off the cockpit drains and using thru hull drains on the transom, and glassing in the drainport under the aft end hull. Has anyone else had luck with this, or am I crazy. I just do not like design.

Not on a hunter but I did a similar job on a Coronado 25.

My advice is to use as large of a drain as is aesthetically possible. You are less likely to get leaves and other trash stopping up your drain.

I’m a young buck it I’ve been able to get back there alright (6’ tall,195lb athletic build)
I was able to fold myself into the large rear storage space on the port side and had access to take the hoses all apart. Once you clean the hoses out and make sure they’re water tight just make some screens for the cockpit drain to catch all the solid debris
