I have a Salona 38 that came with mainsails that have bolt ropes. I am going to convert to Tides Marine strong track. I first have to remove the pvc bolt rope extrusion in the mast. It comes in two sections, I can move the sections but so far is too stiff to remove through the mast gate. Welcome all ideas on how to remove the pvc bolt rope extrusions. So far Selden mast has given no insights. Thanks

Try warming with a heat gun. That should soften the PVC enough to bend.
If the mast is down it may be possible to slide it out the bottom of the mast or take the mast head off and slide it off the top.
Check with Tides about the installation of their track. On my mast it was necessary to lengthen the gate. If you have to do this too, lengthen the gate first, it may make the gate large enough to bend the PVC and slide it out.
Finally, take it out one small bite at time.
