Are there any discount boat brokers? Does Rex the real estate broker handle boat sales?

To the best of my knowledge, no and no. But who knows what you can negotiate...

Not sure this is a yes/no answer.
the broker who sold our last two boats (10 years apart) said “no” when asked about discounting, however, he subsequently agreed, upon signing a broker agreement, to discount his commission both times to 5% rather than the typical 10%.
He wasn’t a very good salesman and a worse negotiator.

You must always remember that the term "discount" or "discounted" is a marketing ploy. When a potential seller focuses on getting part of his agent's commission rather than the bottom line, he is a fool.
Agent's that advertise they will discount their commission are playing to these "fools". It's to generate the phone call, or walk into the store. The goal is always to get the appointment and close the deal. Don't fall for it. Always seek an agent with the best reputation and track record.
