1984 Hunter 34 lifeline stanchion problem

The lower lifeline hole of my stanchions have a plastic snap-in pieces on both sides that protect the lifelines from chafing on sharp stanchion edges as they pass through. A few have disintegrated and chafing is occurring. Are the plastic inserts available and or has anyone solved this problem with their stanchions?
