Hodges Marine online marine electronics: good or bad?

I am looking to purchase a chart plotter from Hodges Marine, mainly due to their lower prices. Reviews of the online marine electronics retailer are a mixed bag however.

What has been your experience purchasing from Hodges Marine?

I’ve bought from them many times. As recently as this spring. Ship same day usually. Great prices. Never had a bad experience, never had to use their return policy.

I think I bought a stereo (OK - I'm analog) from them and had no issues. They did what they said they would do. Why not try Sailboatowners.com for a price check.

ditto on Jackdaw! Have used them several times, as have several friends. Excellent prices and service, never a problem. I did have to return one piece of electronic hardware - turned out it wasn't the problem, and they quickly sent me an RMA and then refunded my credit card - highly recommended.
