We’re planning on hauling our boat for the summer and have been thinking of a sun cover. Anyone have any cool ideas.

We have found that Sun Screen Fabric works very well and lasts for so long we've never worn one out! The holes allow wind to pass through, which eases the strain on the covers.
I started out tying knots in the corners to see how it would hold up and was so pleased that I've had real covers made with the stuff, but the original one with the knots in the corners is perfectly fine, it just doesn't look as nice.

Found some bigger pieces on-line, anyone try the aluminum type?

I saw a Bristol with a track on each side of the boom, like a luff track. You slide half of the shade into each track. Makes the boom a solid support and any rigging on the top of the boom doesnt interfere with the shade.
