Getting close to launch

Well, for most of us up here but, the U of MN sailing team is out practicing. They sail out of the sailing center next door. The HS kids should be out soon too. At least the ice is very gray and more is melting each day. Hopefully launch by the end of the month.

We don’t have the ice but the HS sailing program kids will be out there soon. Awesome! They must not have thermal senses.

Yes, they do and we do as well. They are in dry suits as will the HS kids.

Coach boat and 2 safety RIBs. These kids are collegiate athletes, and the program has developed a protocol over 20 years of doing this. The first regatta is next weekend at Michigan. Gotta get ready somehow!
