Hunter 290

Do any of you folks have experience with this boat? I'm really interested in hearing about it.

How does she sail? What are the pros and cons? What to look out for when sizing up a potential purchase? Really appreciate any insight.

I owned 2001 290 for about5 years and really enjoyed the boat for daysailing and weekends
was good,was easy sailing and no real problems but down side was the space under cockpit rear
berth was very tight and used for storage mostly.
The vee berth was nice size for sleeping for 2 adults.
I moved up to our now H-36 with all the bells and extra’s like AC and Gen for cruising and living in Florida.

I had one for a couple of years and had a ton of fun. She sailed well and had tons of room for a couple but any more than that you will run out of room. We tried to sit 4 below in a marina and were so jammed in that we wnet back up top and suffered the music/noise we were trying to escape.
Great boat, don't hesitate if that is the size range you want into.
