Swim Ladder Tread Replacement

The swim ladder treads on Concerto have seen better days, and one of the rivets on the top step has pulled through the plastic. Does anyone know of a supplier for replacement treads similar to OEM? The top step is 18" by 2-1/2" with a 1" groove for the ladder rung. Didn't have to write that, did I? You all probably have the same ladder.

I thought maybe RudderCraft but I don't see any. Worse case, they might be able to reproduce them

Have you tried Catalina Direct. Or Catalina Yachts? These are the first "go to-s" for anything requiring replacement parts.

I remember a thread a while back about the swim steps, and I think there were significant differences in steps between older and newer C310s. Not really surprising.

Is there not a way to fix the rivet?
Bigger Rivet? Bigger Screw?

Further to Stu's suggestions; a good first step is to call Catalina. (727) 544-6681. I usually start with Warren Pandy: warren@catalinayachts.com. They have been courteous and helpful every time I've called. These treads are likely cut from a longer extrusion with ends finished. If they don't have treads, they may have some extrusion laying around.

Catalina Direct is great, but I am always frustrated that the website doesn't list the C310. We always have to root through other boats models looking for "also fits 310". Easy to call them for must have items, but I'd also like to browse for "nice-to-haves", spares, etc.

Thanks for all of your replies. The holes for the rivets in the ladder tubing were elongated, so I drilled them out to 9/32", counterbored the top of the step to 5/8" to recess the bolt head and used a 1/4-20X1" bolt and 1/4-20 barrel nut to fasten the tread to the tube. Much stronger and more reliable than rivets. Also, looks neat and clean.
Thanks again, Alan, Concerto in Sea, #189
