ROCNA ANCHOR

Hi,
i want to change, on my Hunter 49, the anchor with a Rocna of 33 Kg but i have a Lewmar windlass of 1000 watt. Has anyone already mounted the Rocna with the same windlass?

Don't know but I have a Rocna 25 (55#) on my 410 and windless can get it to the bow roller but not over. I tie a line to my power winch to get it over the roller.

I have the same set up as Sailgunner on my 410. (25 kg Rocna). I find the trick to getting it over is to get the anchor raised to the point where it is just out of the water completely then stop for a few seconds. Now run it straight up without stopping. Works for me 90%+ of the time without issue.

Have used 65# Mantus anchor on my boat for 3 seasons with no problem. My boat is equipped with 1000 watt "Quick" windlass. I also changed out chain from 5/16" to 3/8" along with gypsy.
