Grease for Variprop?

Just one year into the new prop and I must grease it prior to launch. The supplier wants $59 for grease and I'm still paying for the prop $$$. Just wondering if anybody has found/used a cheap grease ?

i use marine 'white' lithium grease , it's about 4$ four dollars a tube. it can also be used on seacock handles and the like....

You just spent how much on that prop? I know how much mine was. I don't think you should be penny pinching here or experimenting Pay the 59.00 and go in confidence that the prop will last

That's what Gori recommends on my folding prop. It's not enough to charge huge amounts for these props, some want repeat business too!

Thanks for all the replies folks. I tend to think that any of the greases mentioned would work but Dave provided a reality check for me so I bit the bullet and spend the cash, reluctantly.
