78-79 c 22 hull number

I have recently become the owner of a c 22 with the serial number 8401. The HIN missing due to sanding/painting done by previous owner, and is required for the boat to be titled in Maryland.

I have recovered most of the HIN, but the last 3 characters are still gone. If anyone has a c22 from the late 70's close to CTYH8401M7??, it would help me figure out the remainder.

Is there no one out there with any answers, or do you have to be something special to get a response?

Information from the class web site indicates that Hull 8270 was the first number of Model year 1979 and 9247 was first number of Model year 1980 so the last letter will be the first or second month of the model Year so an A , B ,or C
CTY H 8401 M 79 B if they produced 80 units a month.

That would make your boat actually having been built in September of 1978 as they did not start the model year in January
