So Terry, What was the permanent excuse???
The recorded message on the evening of July 11 only stated that there were no scheduled trials at this time and so unless you were already attested by the court groups 106 through 122 (I was in group 112) were permanently excused.

Make Maulden stopped by our boat while we were in Friday Harbor, so got a chance to visit with him. Be back on the water around August 6-7 with my oldest son and his family. See you on the water real soon.

Sorry we missed you Mark. On the last leg of our week long sail. Friday Harbor Monday; Sydney CA, Tuesday; Victoria CA Wednesday; Port Townsend, Thursday; and back to Everett, Friday. About 180 NM. Caught all the tide currents pushing us along through the passages. Way cool. Made the run across the Juan de Fula Strait from Victoria to Port Angeles an a peaceful sea 2-3 ft swells at 9 seconds in 10-15 breeze with a little chop, and a little fog. Checked in to the USA at Port Angeles and headed down wind, following swell and flooding tide to Port Townsend. Did the approx 30 mile trip under sail in 4:45 hrs. It was a sleigh ride. Sunshine and good visibility.

You are lucky. The rain will help to clean the air. The smoke affected the normally remarkable beautiful sail in the San Juan's last week. Still a lot of fun!
