Getting close to my home, Les. I haven't been in there since just before they started that development. Watched Dennis Conners and Terry McLaughlin match race mini-12's ( called for no wind) and got a ride around the harbour on "Miss Diet Pepsi " at about 80kts.

Discussed the water situation with @Stu Jackson over dinner. We both agree the most likely source is the bottom of the tank which would have gotten a very good mixup when going by Cattle Point. Just a few drops after today’s motoring and yesterday’s 2-3hr polish using both filters.

Nice. Not as much fun here. Making new dock lines with spliced eyes, making stern pulpit bench seats, all stained awaiting varnish, no luck with my impeller replacement - hopefully it keeps working till I can get the bronze pump cover off, feels like I just sat at the dock all day. Visited the Tulalip Casino for Dinner. Well I can’t get up there to cruise with you big boys. I think tomorrow I’ll cruise to Poulsbo for the evening. Check out the Nordic Community. Eat pastries. Say hi to the tall blond Norwegian women. Drink some Viking beer/mead.

Why is it that when a boat is gone they always come up to the new guy on the dock and ask... “Hey, where’s that Old Guy with the big sail boat” “You know the cool quirky guy. Albert Einstein hair in a kind a Nordic fisherman way”.

How and why do you think I would know... He has a wife ask her.

Arrived here safely. Better then the owner of SV Mirabar. As we were about to cross Ferry route at Mukilteo, there was a Securitee call by the skipper “We have a fire on board in the engine room.” We have tried to put it out. Can any boat stand by?” We were about 1.2 KNM East of the boat and immediately headed for his boat. Fortunately he was in a popular route for boats headed from Seattle up the Saratoga passage.
HE had pleanty of help before ewe got there. Said he had a fire in the engine compartment. Thin it was out. An oil spill surrounded the boat. The guys that came to help suggested he leave the boat due to the oil slick.
He was eventually rescued by the Coast Guard. Not sure what happened to his boat. He will have a tough cleanup as he emptied 2 extinguishers into the bilge..

Had a great walk downtown. The pastry shop opens at 4:30AM.

Sounds like the excitement you wat to avoid!!

Day 11/19 motor sailed up thru Navy Pass. Played which ferry is going to hit me coming to Active Pass. 3/5 ferries has no AIS that I could receive. 10 minutes later not one in sight.

Now anchored in 15’ at Annette Inlet Prevost Island.

Currently in Montague Hbr. Always like photographing the sunset. I think we’ll do some sailing in Trincomali Channel and go into Ganges. Understand a musician friend of mine is there and we decided to splurge for dinnner at the Hastings House..And get “restocked”..afterwards, maybe Pirates Cove and then maybe the southerlies will turn into northerlies and then down to Thetis and Chemanius for the dinner theatre. Then down through Sansum narrows and some route home...

Great picks Les. Annette Inlet is a favorite of Stu’s So sheltered.
