Great pics, Michael. Thanks. Whenever we spend time in Smuggler, as you arrive through the entrance, on the left at low water is a saddle to a small north beach. That beach contains some of the best oysters I've ever had and plentiful. We've also enjoyed the walk through the various long plank walkways through the ponds to the main road. Been by Princess Louisa Inlet many times but have yet to venture in. Must do.

Terry, just do it!
Sounds like a sports metaphor or a Nike commercial. But good advise.... We are not getting any younger. There may not be another visit to this slice of heaven... Kind of makes you want to ..... just do it....

Sounds like you should write that into your summer plans Terry! We had a great down-wind run up Jervis Channel with the inflow winds. Got some practise gybing down-wind. Jackdaw would have been proud of us ( maybe a crew spot on Blue Jay ). Had to motor the 46 miles back though.

Currently have family commitments with my oldest son and his family from Texas the first two weeks in July. After that, well where else but Princess Louisa? Sounds like a sail plan for later in the summer.

What is in store for your big trip, Les?

I hope you take a good ration of home made pastrami. I'm sorry I can't make it. Starting a homestead business is SOOOO much work. :sosad:

When I talked with Kelsey of West by North, he suggested I could use the tidal grid at Comox to put the new prop on if I wanted to come up there. As I understand his new shop is somewhere near you.
How have you been doing so far?

Hi John
We've been doing great. It's taken 3 weeks to get as far as we came in 3 days last year but we are enjoying this part more. Plan is to go slow and enjoy. I think we've already done as much sailing as last year. One of the benefits of no schedule!
Kelseys shop is only a couple of miles from here in Courtenay. Easy by bike or cab.
