The boat is new to me. I ordered new keel lock bolt, pivot bolt, wire for keel etc. Got all of it from Bluewater yachts. In the instructions it mentioned it might have that on some models. I don't see one on my boat , but I thought I should be sure.
I bought mine new in '85 and over the years I've had all that apart and have never come across one. Are you going to replace the keel pivot bolt yourself or have a yard do it? My keel weighs 625 pounds and is unwieldy, to be sure, and could bite you pretty good if it gets away from you!
I'm on the trailer with jack stands and a big car jack as well. Getting the old one out was a breeze. Nice to know someone who has owned a mac for that long.
Every time I get "bigger-boat-itis" I look around my marina (I'm on the north end of the Chesapeake Bay) and see all my colleagues with their fine expensive boats with fixed keels who glare at me as I go out and have a great day on the water and they're stuck in their slips because the water is too low, I get real and enjoy what I have.
