Ultimate demonstration of a displacement hull's hull speed.

Just watched a very interesting video that is a great demonstration of hull speed on a displacement hull. The Kayak had plenty of power, but it kept burying the stern. The location of the thrust was high enough, so that was not a factor. While the video intent was doing something crazy and just having fun, the science behind hull speed is nice to see in real life.

Cool experiment. He should try it on a paddleboard. Of course if he hits a wake in a paddleboard at speed, they're going swimming.
