keel crack

Can anyone tell me if the crack in the keel where it comes into contact with the bottom of the boat is normal? Is just filling it and painting it ok?

A little crack is OK

Really, the crack just needs filled and painted.

I have a Hunter 25-5 with the same appearance. Never been a problem.

My '80 H30 has the same crack - not a problem if the keel is secure and bolts are torqued. While the boat is on the hoist see if there is any play - there should be none... Seal and paint.
