Folding Steering Wheel upgrade

Hi all, I have a 2004 Catalina 387 that has a 40 inch diameter Edson Destroyer steering wheel. I want to swap it out to a folding steering wheel. Will the Lewmar folding steering wheel fit ?

It should...........check the shaft diameter and contact Lewmar Folding Wheels | Lewmar .

Check the drawings on the Edson website for your pedestal. It's probably going to be either a 1" tapered shaft or a 1" straight shaft. The folding wheel can be bought either as a tapered shaft fit or one that also includes the adaptor to fit the straight shaft. If you have the tapered shaft, you can save some money by buying the one that does not include the adaptor. I found the best price for that one at Mauri Pro Sailing for our 350.

Hi guys - following up - I purchased the folding steering wheel and it comes with a tapered shaft attachment. With the tapered shaft - the steering wheel fits perfectly.
