DIY dodger

Has anyone ever tried to make this. Doable DIY:Crafting a Simple, Durable Dodger - 48° North
It looks pretty clean for a hard dodger. Curious though about Lexan expanding and contracting.

Usually the acrylic or polycarbonate is held in place with a caulk. If fasteners are used the holes should be oversized to accommodate the expansion. Unless the plastic is heat set it will want to return to its original form, in this case flat. That puts the fasteners on the curve in constant tension. I'm not sure how that will work out in the long run.
