Three years ago my dock neighbor’s 35’ ChrisCraft cabin cruiser caught fire because of a shorted AC shore power receptacle. It burned the interior severely; however, the fire was self limiting because of oxygen deprivation. Could have been much worse because of wooden docks and of course, my boat could have burned. Neighbor was actually able to salvage boat & restore interior.
