Greetings fellow sailors. My wife bought us a Liberty dingy for Christmas. With the purchase of the sailing rigging, and a boat dolly which attaches to the transom for removal upon launch, I'm now faced with solving the problem of how to best rig the oars. I bought the Westmarine Bronze Rowlock Horns in order to try to secure the oars to the horns and then use small pins on the bottom ends to keep them from coming out during use. But I'm not sure if I should drill through the oars to insert the pins and then find a pin to secure the pins.... Or if there is a better way to make them quiet and securable. These silly pins on the rowlocks don't have anything to hold them fast once they are inserted into the oars... Any ideas?
