Continuing to beat the dead horse, consider polysulfide such as Lifecaulk & Sikaflex. I believe 4200 is just a faster curing 5200 isn't it? Polysulfide lasts a very long time and remains flexible. Great sealant and you won't have to re-do it in 5 or 7 years. Should last much longer than that and maybe double that. I use it both above and below the waterline. Good for sealing thru hulls too.

The difference is in their adhesive properties. If you want to seal it, 4200 is the better choice. If you want to seal and cement it, 5200 is the better choice. Both are good products. 3m makes fast curing 4200 and 5200 as well as the normal curing version that takes several days to cure.

I'm also a fan of Sikaflex 291.
