I was sailing the the Pogo in Greece a few years back and was near Crete. That night a strong wind out of the south blew in; the so-called Sirocco. The next morning the boat was covered like that; with fine red african dust. What a mess.

You haven't used your finger to write "wash me" yet!

I used to own a VW Scirocco. It was brown. Go figure.

Way back in the day (I'm talking early 2000's), there was a section on this site (possibly called "photo captions") which offered exactly what you are showing. Phil would post an odd picture with a boating theme, and posters would offer a caption. You know the captions shown for serious photos on this site so you can imagine some of the responses for this section. Hilarious.

Those Sciroccos were well regarded cars. Supercharged, great performance for the cost. If they weren't all rusted out.

Mine '78 was white. Looked like this. Unless it was dusty!

Oh Wow! @Jackdaw

That is what I learned to drive on. My mom had one of those. Same color. It was a rust bucket but it was fast. To this day, my mom does not know how the front left rim got bent... :-( A year later my Dad got a motor cycle so during the summer months, I got to drive his International Scout. Big knobby tires.... 8 MPG in town and 13 MPG on the highway. Bright Orange! What ride that was.

My Gold Scirocco loved mountain roads in the Fall. I sold it to a friend's brother with 60k miles on it. He drove it another 100k then sold it!

that boat looks like an old seafarer 20 built out of cold spring harbor NY in the 60 's. a mc curdy and rhodes design. built like a tank, heavy gel coat that would buff out, heavy hand laid fiberglass, not built by chopper gun. that would be an excellent project boat for someone. with the way it looks the yard should pay someone to haul it away...

Size is probably hard to judge in this picture....not sure what it is... but it seemed to me to be in the 25 to 26 foot range. Definitely larger than a 20.

I was thinking more along the lines of the very versatile "said the bishop to the actress".
I had to look that one up... According to wikipedia... "An equivalent phrase in North America is "that's what she said".

LOL
