We ran aground on a rock during a SEVERE Storm. The lucky part was that somehow the swing keel came up and the boat landed up on a rock with only the center protion of the swing keel resting on the rock. We managed to winch free in the morning, but now the keel looks like a shark took a bite out of it. To me the easiest way to fix it would be to drop the keel and work on it in my garage. The boat is on it's trailer so I need to jack it up high enough to drop the keel out (I figure about a foot should do). The question is, what is the easiest way to free the keel? It looks to me like there should be bolts inside the fiberglass portion that also holds the compression post and table. I would appreciate any input from someone that has done this before.
