Scepter 5 gal container

I've a Scepter 5 gal container for gasoline. It had a slight leak on the seam at top part of container, just below the handle grip. What can I use to seal the leaking seam/joint?

Plastic welding may solve the problem. But it will cost you more than a new container. Otherwise, it will no longer be an approved container no matter what you try and will probably leak at some point in the future. You really don't want that to happen on your boat, or in your vehicle or garage!

The fuel container will need to be replaced.

Yup that's my thought that repairing it could be futile. Wasn't prepared to spend $$ on new gas can ...then I found a source at very reasonable price at $. Half price!
