Hi all,

Just wondering how long most of you get out of a fuel tank. The one in our dinghy is five years old and is showing cracks beginning at the corners from UV and I believe flexing since they don't vent any more. We do have it under seat but the ends stick out and that's where the red plastic has faded pink.

Ours died last year, so that would be 2007 to 2016. I've seen people make covers for them, but we are unlikely to spend the time and money on one. We use a 2.5 gallon tank on our 4 stroke and the fuel seems to last forever!

Stupid laws that don't protect the environment what so ever deserve to be ignored... Aftermarket companies make fuel caps that 'work', and that does not mean they are unsafe.
