$80 for a regulator that looks like it can do constant current as well constant voltage on a program. Signal K is good, but may require you to implement a Signal-K to NMEA-2K bridge. There are tons of ardunio's out there so that is fairly stable (assuming the software is ok) -

I didn't see belt/small motor/alternator temp derating - all of which I consider a necessity
