So i am looking at a used jib and think its cut a little short on the luff. However, i can'tcheck measurements. Does anyone know the luff an foot dimensions on the standat 100 or 110 jib for the 1990 35.5 Legend.

Dims on the new sail are 38'10" luff and 12'5" foot. How far off am I on this? Looking for opinions. Gotta decide today. Thanks guys.

The rig dimensions are I=42 and J=12.2 so you have a 102% sail, a typical 110% would have a foot of 13.4ft. Your forestay length by formula is 43.74ft, so whatever the furler takes up, let's just say 18 inches, so the max luff should be around 42.25ft.

1987 Legend 35 (virtually identical to the 1990 I think)

135%
Luff = 12.95m (42.486877')
Leech = 11.87m (38.94357)
Foot = 5.43m (17.81496)
LP = 5.04m (16.53543)

These are from North. I still have the below deck furler, but I use about a 6" pennant at the tack so the tack sits a little higher and the foot better clears the pulpit and lifelines, and I have 8-10" of furler tube at the top to spare (never want to get too close to the top or your swivel will push out the top bushing ... ask me how I know). Dave's max luff comments seems close to accurate.
Cheers
Chris
